About The Position

As a Unarmed Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Catonsville, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct regular patrols at a bustling retail location, maintaining a strong presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You'll play a key role in supporting a welcoming environment, demonstrating reliability, agility, and integrity while working closely with a caring and innovative team.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment for employees and visitors.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control and help to monitor entry and exit points within the retail environment.
Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or law enforcement as required.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and/or daily activities.
