As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support personnel and visitors through clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity or conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or authorization, manage visitor and delivery access, and direct personnel to appropriate locations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with site personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports and activity logs, maintain radio and/or phone communications, and assist with security-related administrative tasks as directed.
