As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols by vehicle and on foot, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams and guests with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances and/or exits, receiving areas, parking areas and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Monitor for suspicious activity and policy violations, helping to deter theft, vandalism and/or disorderly conduct through visible presence and professional communication.
Observe customer and associate activity, document unusual conditions and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Control access to restricted areas as directed by site policy, verifying credentials and/or authorizations when required.
Provide assistance with lost and found items, customer questions, wayfinding and/or other service requests while maintaining post orders.
Complete routine reports, incident documentation and shift logs in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
Coordinate response activities with store management and local public services as needed, including support during medical situations, disturbances and/or evacuations.
Operate communication equipment and follow radio protocol to relay information, request support and/or escalate issues per site procedures.
