About The Position

As a Unarmed Security Guard - Retail Patrol in Columbia, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for customers and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will remain visible, respond to situations as they arise, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment within the retail location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and addressing unauthorized entry as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.
Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and interacting with customers, employees, and/or visitors as appropriate.
