About The Position

Oatridge Security Group (OSG) is looking for an Unarmed Security Escort to join its rapidly growing team. The Escort is responsible for accompanying contractors into restricted areas, remaining with them to provide security oversight while they perform their required duties, and escorting them safely out again. Escorts are required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, and work outside in the elements. The work is performed outdoors and indoors within the restrictive area. This position requires individuals that possess self-discipline, de-escalation skills, a good work ethic, and punctuality. Escorts must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug test. Candidates should be well groomed, articulate, dependable, and a team player. The Escort does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer and has no arrest or apprehension powers. The position requires the possession of an active security clearance. OSG has over 20 years' experience providing top of the line security services to the commercial sector and U.S government, operating throughout Washington and Oregon. In 2020, OSG was recognized as the SBA National 8(A) Graduate of the Year.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship
18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language fluently
Ability to follow written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material
Excellent customer service skills in phone and face to face conversation, with excellent written and spoken command of the English language
Successful completion of all training and obtaining all required permits, licenses, certifications and security clearances for the site.

Nice To Haves

Prior military, civilian, or security officer experience preferred but not required.
Active Tier 3 Security or Top Secret Clearance
Active Tier 4 BI
Active Tier 5 Top Secret w/SCI eligibility

Responsibilities

Accompany personnel to designated areas, remain with them, ensure all required duties are performed, and escort personnel out of a secured facility.
Follow all company personnel and safety policies, and perform all assigned duties in a safe manner.
Arrive at work at the designated time in proper uniform and carrying necessary issued equipment.
Carry out general and special orders for assigned post(s).
Communicate via radio, telephone, and in-person, according to orders.
Take responsibility for the cleanliness of uniforms and assigned equipment.
Professionally escort and interact with public and government personnel.
Meet, greet, and interact professionally with employees, VIPs, and the general public.
Maintain poise and self-control under stress.
Construct and write clear, concise, accurate, and detailed reports in English.
