About The Position
The Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. The technologist ensures patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging while maintaining compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field from an accredited program
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required (AB, OB/GYN, RVT
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from American Heart Association required
- California state certification (CRT) preferred if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience

Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts exams as ordered by physicians
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for procedures
- Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Review and evaluate images for technical quality and completeness
- Document patient information, exam details, and preliminary observations
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Explain procedures to patients and address any concerns
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functioning
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff
