Ultrasound Technologist (1.0 Alternating - Lafayette)
About The Position
The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing Ultrasound Imaging, operating sonographic equipment to obtain images of patients' internal body parts to support diagnoses and provide insight into medical issues, concerns or conditions. The Ultrasound Technologist works with and assists the physician in the performance of assigned procedures. This position assists in the training of students and sonographers, in Ultrasound. The Ultrasound Technologist maintains optimum timeliness, accuracy, proficiency, efficiency, and safety during the execution of duties, and works closely with patients to ensure they have an understanding of procedures and are comfortable during procedures. Requirements
- Certificate Required or in Ultrasound
- Associate's Degree or Certificate Required in Radiology or Ultrasound
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Required
- Registered Ultrasonographer (ARDMS) - . within 1 Year Required or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - . ARRT (S) within 1 Year Required
- TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Up to 20%
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Ultrasound Preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
