About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) for a 13-week contract assignment at a major acute care hospital in Brooklyn, NY. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to support physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong general ultrasound experience, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of general registered ultrasound experience .
• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (including military training programs).
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through ARDMS (required).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders.
• Capture and document accurate, high-quality images for physician interpretation.
• Prepare and properly position patients for procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to infection control guidelines, safety standards, and hospital compliance policies.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.
