About The Position

Cardinal Health Diagnostic Imaging utilizes advanced technology to generate images of internal body structures, aiding in the assessment of clinical conditions and supporting diagnosis and treatment. This encompasses procedures such as MRI, ultrasound, X-rays, CT scans, and PET scans. The Ultrasound department specifically provides services that employ high-frequency sound waves to examine tissues and organs within the body, assisting in the diagnosis of various conditions, including cancer. At this level, individuals are expected to apply basic concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform routine tasks, work on projects of limited scope and complexity, and follow established procedures to resolve readily identifiable technical problems. They will work under direct supervision, receive detailed instructions, and develop competence through structured work assignments.

Requirements

  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographs (ARDMS) certification required
  • Must be available to work a 4/10 work schedule - no exceptions

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years Ultrasound Technologist experience preferred
  • Breast Imaging experience highly preferred
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine diagnostic ultrasound procedures per physician orders and department protocols
  • Ensure high-quality images and proper documentation for radiologist interpretation
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide clear instructions and support
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times
  • Accurately enter and manage patient data within EMR/PACS systems
  • Follow established imaging protocols and escalate any concerns as needed
  • Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement processes
  • Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow
