About The Position
Ultrasound Sonographer (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Job Summary Omega Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Sonographer to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound equipment. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and healthcare staff to produce high-quality images that assist in diagnosing and monitoring patient conditions while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by physicians Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain clear diagnostic images Review images for quality and completeness Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation Follow safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Clinical experience in ultrasound imaging
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Nice To Haves
- Certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists preferred
