About The Position

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for our Ultrasound Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As an Ultrasound Technologist you will: Be competent in production, use, recognition and analysis of ultrasound images and patterns used for patient diagnosis and treatment. The practitioner must be knowledgeable in ultrasound physics and instrumentation, normal anatomy and pathological variants. Deliver excellent patient care. Perform ultrasound procedures under the direction of a radiologist, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Daily situations require critical-thinking and decision-making skills.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP) as required and/or be ARDMS registered.
  • RDMS (OB/GYN required), (AB preferred)
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Able to handle a multitask environment and work independently
  • PC skills such as Windows NT
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer experience preferred
