We are seeking a patient centered, community hospital oriented individual to join our imaging department. We are a small but busy department serving Stayton and surrounding communities. We perform a wide variety of ultrasound imaging exams including OB and MSK.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of principles that relate to the position
  • aptitude in verbal and written communication, including ability to communicate with persons in all age groups
  • Possession of a degree from an accredited school of diagnostic medical sonography
  • Possession of current certification by either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Possession of current licensure by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging for Sonography
  • Experience of no less than two years in general ultrasound practice preferred
  • Possession of United States proof of citizenship or right to work in the United States
  • Possession of a driver license or analogous identification
  • Willingness to participate in Hospital orientation and educational in-service

Responsibilities

  • Promptly and competently perform ultrasound studies, as ordered by Hospital Medical Staff, according to established standards and guidelines.
  • Legibly complete applicable documentation related to ultrasound studies, and promptly send such documentation with study images to Hospital radiologists for interpretation.
  • Inform, in a timely manner, on-duty radiologists of completed ultrasound studies.
  • Promptly send ultrasound study images to the Department picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
  • Transmit diagnostic imaging study images to contracted teleradiology services as is indicated. Read diagnostic imaging study reports to ordering Medical Staff as is requested.
  • Provide urgent service after regular Diagnostic Imaging Department work hours according to an established call schedule.
  • Provide assistance with Department reception, paperwork, and clerical tasks when such assistance is needed
  • Remain willing to work at times and locations as assigned by Diagnostic Imaging Director.
