Position Summary: Vista Medical Center is seeking a certified Ultrasound Technician to join our Imaging Services team. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of diagnostic sonographic procedures with precision and care, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS certification required (with at least one specialty such as OB/GYN, Abdomen, or Vascular).
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and image quality.
- Professional, compassionate demeanor with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
- Operate ultrasound equipment effectively, maintaining image quality and equipment functionality.
- Prepare and position patients for exams while providing clear communication and emotional support.
- Work closely with radiologists to review images and provide technical impressions when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA regulations, and infection control standards.
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuing education activities.
