About The Position
Corewell Health Hospital Trenton is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital that sponsors nine university-affiliated residency programs. The hospital opened in 1961 and became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. It provides comprehensive medical and surgical care, including all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit, and obstetrical care. The Ultrasonographer performs accurate and efficient Ultrasound exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative, following established policies and procedures. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation, adhering to Corewell Health's philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.
Requirements
- Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
- Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registry eligible, paid at the trainee rate for up to 1 year
- If unregistered must obtain at least one (ABD or OB/GYN) within 1 year from hire
- Additional registry within two years from date of hire
- If registered at hire additional registry must be obtained within 1 year from hire
- CRT-Vascular Tech-ARDMS-within 1 year from hire for Vascular Department
- Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association
