About The Position

Leidos is seeking a UX Specialist to be part of the mission solution and help lead our customer’s Digital Modernization Strategy. Join one of our high performing teams responsible for building the next-generation enterprise APIs and modern responsive user interfaces which support our customer’s mission to meet the changing needs of the public and internal customers. We are a team of forward-looking professionals in need of a strong candidate with these key required skills: Strong knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) principles to include documenting user requirements and user needs (and pain points); Interaction/Interface design experience utilizing user-centered methods; designing or conducting formative various user research tests (including user interviews, contextual inquiry, card sorting, usability tests, and others) in both formal and informal settings; and experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings. Requirements

Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis
BS Degree and 4 years of experience. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
Minimum of 3 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
Must be a US Citizen
Minimum of 3 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis
Minimum of 3 years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations
Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal settings
Minimum of 2 years of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings
Must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review

Nice To Haves

Experience using Axure RP prototyping software
Experience with AdobeXD prototyping software
Experience with Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms
Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology
Understanding of responsive design
Prior experience supporting government agencies
Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design
Hold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly)
