About The Position

The State of Ohio (DPS) is seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to design modern, intuitive, and user-centered interfaces for enterprise applications. This role involves close collaboration with business users, developers, and cross-functional teams to enhance product usability and drive digital experience improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of UI/UX design experience
• Strong expertise in: Figma and prototyping tools
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Bootstrap, Fluent UI)
• User-centered design and usability principles
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong understanding of site architecture and intuitive UI design
• Experience delivering products from concept to implementation
• Knowledge of ASP.NET / C# applications

Nice To Haves

• UI/UX Certification
• Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC applications
• Experience creating user journey maps and workflow diagrams
• Experience working on enterprise or government applications

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze UI/UX requirements from stakeholders and business users
• Design wireframes, prototypes, and intuitive user interfaces
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design validation
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts
• Create and maintain design systems and reusable UI components
• Ensure seamless UI handoff to development teams
• Improve product usability and contribute to product roadmap enhancements
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Ensure UI designs follow best practices, accessibility, and security standards
• Work with backend teams for front-end integration
