About The Position

Great Gray is looking to add a UI Technical Lead (React) on our Technology team. As a hands-on leader with extensive experience in building modern web and mobile applications backed by a cloud-hosted SaaS platforms, you will guide an agile development team, influence architectural decisions and champion best practices in software development, driving innovation and delivering high-impact features for our industry-leading retirement platform. Requirements

7+ years of front-end software development experience, with demonstrable mastery of React development.
3+ years in a technical leadership role with responsibilities beyond just software delivery.
Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
Experience with modern build tools (Webpack, Vite) and package management
Familiarity wioth cloud-based, CI/CD development using containers, pipelines, and test automation.
Understanding of relational databases and ability to write SQL queries for debugging and data validation.
Experience consuming and designing RESTful APIs, with familiarity with GraphQL and real-time data patterns
A problem-solving mindset and the ability to lead technical teams.

Nice To Haves

10+ years of front-end and full-stack experience
Hands-on experience with mobile development (iOS/Android)
Extensive experience with cloud-based, multi-tenant SaaS platforms
Fintech experience, including knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory procedures and processes.
Deep knowledge of UI/UX patterns and best practices including language support and accessibility.
Articulate communicator of best practices, design patterns, and modern UI/UX concepts.
Able to thrive as part of a cross-functional software engineering team (including nearshore and offshore components).
Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Entrepreneurial mindset to bring best practice ideas to the team.

Responsibilities

Hands-on, technical leadership serving as a player-coach within a cross-functional agile team.
Lead the front-end transformation of the RPAG platform, addressing technical debt, user experience inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, driving technical excellence through guidance and best practices.
Champion continuous improvement by optimizing processes, ensuring quality standards, and enhancing system performance.
Collaborate with leadership to align technical decisions with business goals and deliver outstanding customer value.
Maintain and monitor business-critical platforms, proactively troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless operation.
