About The Position

If you've ever wished the open road could be your office, consider becoming U-Haul Company’s newest U-Box Customer Care Representative (CCR; local delivery driver). As a CCR, you will be responsible for U-Box containers and ensuring that customers are provided with friendly and courteous service. The concept for U-Haul was generated out of need after World War II for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada, transforming the covered wagon of the pioneers into orange U-Haul trailers and giving birth to an industry.

Requirements

Clean motor vehicle driving record
High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Operate a flatbed truck (training provided).
Operate an 8000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
Load and unload storage containers for delivery.
Transport storage containers to and from specified destinations, e.g., customers’ homes and businesses – local routes only.
Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
