About The Position

The TXA Laborer I is primarily tasked with sorting and separating materials and with general maintenance of the yard.

Requirements

• Completion of some formal education
• At least six months of related experience
• Must have dependable transportation
• Willingness to work some weekends and holidays as requested or needed.
• Forklift Certification within 60 day of employment
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English
• Ability to read and comprehend Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for products used in operations
• Basic math skills
• Ability to be forklift certified

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or its equivalent

Responsibilities

• Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Separate metals, which may require using a torch, and sort into the appropriate receptacles.
• Direct customer traffic in the yard.
• Assist the Greenbuilder department when requested.
• Comply with company safety policies and with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Immediately report any safety violations or unsafe conditions.
• Use a torch to separate metals.
• Other duties as assigned.
