The TX Field Service Technician is responsible for providing refrigeration, mechanical service and repairs for all UDA producers. The successful candidate will have dairy farm experience and excellent mechanical skills. The operation is located in Muleshoe, Texas and services the surrounding dairy operations with mechanical and supply support within a 100 mile radius roughly.

Requirements

Excellent organizational and time management skills
Comfortable working with and around livestock (Yes, we do mean cows)
Effective problem analysis and problem resolution skills
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals
Mechanical experience with drives, pumps boilers, air compressors, etc.
Electrical experience 120, 240 & 480 volt systems
Knowledge of commercial Freon refrigeration systems
Must be able to use technical manual and testing equipment
Ability to make decisions impacting products and safety based on independent judgment and discretion
Must provide personal hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, basic cordless power tools)
Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction and supervision
Shift work required, willingness to work on call as scheduled to included possible weekends and holidays.
Must have a clean driving record
High School Diploma, or equivalent

Nice To Haves

PLC (process logic control) and process controllers helpful
Previous experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or similar industry
Previous maintenance, electrical, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Service member dairy farms with equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements in an accurate and timely manner
Collaborate with farmers to understand service needs and ensure all equipment is functioning with minimal downtime
Drive to various farms, throughout Texas & New Mexico, to assist with scheduled and unplanned service needs
Ensure fans, coolers, refrigeration equipment is operating efficiently
Report and manage accurate and legible records of all services completed and pending
Request and prepare equipment and tools needed for each project
Always maintain food safety and quality standards, resolving and/or reporting compliance issues immediately
