About The Position

The Texas Woman’s University Alumni Association Director of Alumni Chapters and Leadership Programs is responsible for implementing and coordinating alumni programs, events, and communications across the Texas Woman's University (TWU) Alumni Association (TWUAA). This role is key in developing and maintaining strong, productive relationships with alumni and supporting alumni-driven activities through the Association's growing chapter structure and activity groups. The Director works closely with the Executive Director and collaborates across university departments to deliver meaningful engagement experiences for alumni. This position supports the strategic goals of Alumni Engagement and the TWUAA, with a special focus on building the new Alumni Association into a vibrant, energetic endeavor on behalf of TWU and its alumni, working in conjunction with dedicated alumni volunteers and leaders.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Alumni Relations/Alumni Engagement or relevant professional experience working with volunteer leaders and membership organizations.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.
  • All employees share the responsibility of maintaining information security and privacy requirements within the university by adhering to Federal and State regulations, and TWU Policies & Procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively withdiverse audiences, including alumni, faculty, staff, and donors.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and atrack record of successful delivery.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently, exercise soundjudgment, and take initiative.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including relateduniversity software and email.
  • Experience working with volunteers in a university or non-profit environment.
  • Familiarity with digital community platforms, Constituent Relationship Management (CRM)systems, and event management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Chapter Advising and Administration: Serve as the primary advisor and liaison to the TWUAA's three categories of chapters: regional chapters, academic affinity chapters, and community service chapters.
  • Advise existing chapters on administering their annual social and professional event programs, ensuring alignment with TWUAA guidelines and the University's mission.
  • Ensure chapter compliance with all annual administrative requirements, including application renewal, officer identification and appointment, and new program planning.
  • Chapter Recruitment and Growth: Actively recruit and onboard new chapters and activity groups in alignment with the TWUAA rules and Chapter Guidelines, fostering expansion into new cities, regions, and academic areas.
  • Digital Community Management: Assume primary responsibility for the TWU Alumni Association's online community, serving as the administrator for this digital village where chapters and impact areas engage with their constituents.
  • Annual Leadership Conference: Responsible for the design, development, and delivery of the annual Fall TWU Alumni Association Business Meeting and Leadership Conference at the TWU Dallas Campus.
  • Coordinate the event agenda, which features chapter/Impact Circle/Impact Network presentations on goals and accomplishments, leadership seminars, and panel discussions.
  • Leadership Development Programming: Oversee the TWUAA's leadership development initiatives in conjunction with the Jane Nelsen Institute for Women's Leadership.
  • Manage special invitations, tracking, and coordinating alumni participation in Jane Nelsen leadership events throughout the year for alumni volunteer leaders.
  • Strategic Support: Assist the Executive Director in managing and directing the TWU Alumni Association as a whole, ensuring the TWUAA is alumni-driven but managed and directed by TWU.
  • Activity Structure Oversight: Provide support and direction for special projects and initiatives of the Alumni Advisory Council.
  • New Activity Support: Provide assistance and guidance to newly approved Impact Circles and Impact Networks (additional components of the Alumni Association's activity structure).
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate across university departments to ensure seamless execution of events and programs and to identify new opportunities for alumni engagement.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
