Student Worker-Writing Tutor
About The Position
Writing Center tutors engage in a combination of regular, weekly, one-on-one appointments with students; one-time appointments (scheduled up to a week ahead); walk-ins; distance tutoring (using Zoom and Google Docs for synchronous and asynchronous sessions); small-group work. Tutors work with students from all levels and disciplines. Graduate or senior tutors work with graduate students. Experienced tutors work with ELL students and conduct in-class workshops in coordination with professor's assigned focus or group workshops designed for specific disciplines, such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Occupational Therapy, Global College, MPA, and Athletics.
Requirements
- Undergraduate Students: currently working towards a four-year degree.
- Graduate Students: currently working towards a graduate level degree.
- Non-Students: B.A., B.S., Masters or Ph.D.
