What we’re looking for: The purpose of this role will be to provide support to the Indovinya regional turnaround team for preparing and executing turnarounds across multiple sites. The Lead Instrument / Electrical planning coordinator has the responsibility for taking scope for instrumentation and electrical disciplines and getting it planned, scheduled, and organized for planned turnarounds, outages, and catalyst changes. In addition, the TAR Lead I/E planning coordinator ensure all execution of the planned work is undertaken in the best way possible to meet the deliverables and objectives of the project. This will include any I/E scope deemed necessary to execute during the planned event regardless of whether this is maintenance, TAR-specific, operations, or capital project. For capital projects the TAR I/E lead planning coordinator will work with projects and construction to track the progress of engineering and design in order to receive a construction package approved for construction. These documents will provide the basis for completing the job plan by the planners (under direction of the TAR Lead I/E planning coordinator. The TAR Lead I/E planning coordinator will work with various members of the FEL organization to gather the required information needed to prepare the work activities. They should be prepared to provide direction to the planners, remove roadblocks where present and elevate issues to the TAR Manager or Event Manager in the event they need to be addressed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent AND a minimum of 5 years of experience as an I&E maintenance technician/ specialist and at least 3 years of Preventive Maintenance Planning in a manufacturing environment OR Associate Degree AND a minimum of 3 years of experience as a I&E technician/specialist and at least 2 years of Preventive Maintenance Planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Instrument/Electrical Maintenance background is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate computers and WINDOWS software such as WORD and EXCEL.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and estimate.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and to work with others - teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Teach, coach, and supervise Instrumentation/Electrical Planners within the region.
  • Provide input to the development and revision of the TAR planning premise.
  • Plan all maintenance work orders in SAP by analyzing basic job steps, determining their relative sequence, and identifying parts, materials, special tools, skills, and personnel requirements for each step.
  • Review engineering drawings and sketches necessary to complete the work order plan.
  • Screen each work order request for proper completion, discusses the details with the originating area, and ensures the work is clearly defined and properly authorized.
  • Develop estimate for craft hours, labor, and material costs for each job plan.
  • Review the work area for potential safety hazards and makes appropriate notes in the job plan. Include any required safety procedures and standards in the work package.
  • Facilitate and coordinate incident reporting for work under their direction.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the bill of materials by quantity and type required to perform work requested as developed by the TAR Planner.
  • Develop and communicate material staging plan and ensure job kits are prepared and ready before they are needed for the job.
  • Identify support needs such as sheet metal work, scaffolding, insulation removal, heavy equipment, rigging, etc.
  • Ensure that work packages include drawings, work permits, procedures, special tools, job plan, work order, safety requirements, and materials.
  • Work with execution coordinators to ensure common understanding of the schedule priorities and that any changes are aligned with all work groups and the schedule.
  • Routinely meet with Operations Maintenance Coordinators to ensure work order priorities for Instrument/Electrical Planners are established and the appropriate work packages completed and available.
  • Ensure that work packages have been issued appropriate contractors and/or work groups before the work is to be implemented.
  • Review all completed work packages, used, and determine craft hours spent versus the job plan estimate.
  • Publish established planning and scheduling performance metrics for the work group.
  • Develop bid scopes for relevant TAR contracts, follow-up on bid progress and provide input to clarifications as needed.
  • Develop and archive job plans and maintain job plan library. Adjust job plan library information based on job audits and by reviewing execution feedback forms and adjusting preventive maintenance plans and corrective maintenance standard task lists.
  • Ensure that the TAR change process (SCR) is strictly adhered to, and approvals are obtained in a timely manner. Ensure that change orders have been approved per DOA for any contracts under his/her authorization to do so.
  • Routinely meet with Reliability Engineers to analyze work orders for equipment failure trends.
  • Attend safety meetings and complete company-required training programs. Participate in alignment sessions with relevant contractors regarding the EHS and Quality plans developed for the TAR.
  • Provide lessons learned input for Turnaround planning and execution. Facilitate and/or participate in optimization sessions of the TAR schedule.
  • Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality, and responsible care requirements).
  • Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.
  • Directly accountable and responsible for those aspects of the Instrument/Electrical work packages. Drive improvement to standardize best practices in the TAR Planning function. Review work order for accuracy and completeness.
  • Carry out other functions as assigned by the TAR Manager Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
  • Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs.
