About The Position

We are looking for a Turf Sr Sales Rep  to join our Agricultural Solutions team in support of Arizona and New Mexico (Phoenix AZ location preferred). Come create chemistry with us!   BASF’s Agricultural Solutions division connects innovation, customers, partners and agricultural experts and integrates sustainability criteria into all business decisions. We help professional turfgrass managers deliver the best possible outcomes, working to achieve the balance between economic, environmental and social value creation for sustainable solutions.   As a Turf Sales Representative, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals and objectives in the Turf and Ornamental market, while developing customer business relationships that create long term value for BASF and our customers.  You will also be responsible for implementation and execution of field tactical activities that maintain and grow our product portfolio.  In addition, you will function as BASF’s face to our customers, as well as many other market influencers and industry partners.   You will need to live within and manage a territory that consists of Arizona and New Mexico.As a Turf Sr Sales Rep - Arizona and New Mexico (Phoenix area preferred) - Field, you create chemistry by...  Growing our market and product portfolio through promoting innovations, creating solutions for customers and effectively executing field activities. Developing a professional and personal skill set that will positively impact business strategy and growth. Managing a Sales Territory to achieve yearly sales goals within assigned budgets. Building and cultivating strong business relationships with key end users and maintaining a working profile of opportunities with each end user. Supporting and utilizing a distribution network to increase sales throughout your territory. Presenting and administering marketing programs to end users and participating in special sales and marketing projects. Providing biology and product training to key end users and distribution network. Effectively communicating across the business, reporting top opportunities through a strategic monthly review.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor Degree and agronomic industry experience (ex: Turf & Ornamentals and/or Agricultural Products and/or Lawn Care & Maintenance and/or related disciplines.
  • Have previous direct sales experience (Turf Superintendent, Lawncare and/or Ornamental experience will be considered in lieu of direct sales experience) and formal sales training courses.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and entrepreneurial skills.
  • Have account/territory management/planning experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to influence.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference for bilingual candidates who speak fluent Spanish.
