The Engineer I position is the entry level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer I position solve problems in engineering areas of specialization with close supervision. An Engineer I is expected to develop skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer I has knowledge of fundamental concepts and procedures. Provide day-to-day operational and maintenance support of the station’s Power Block. Develop preventive maintenance and outage plans, update procedures and technical documents. Identify and manage O&M and capital project scopes. Coordinate with OEMs and internal teams; review inspections and corrective actions. Ensure compliance with ASME/API/NFPA standards. Provide engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical support. Participate in safety reviews, hazard analyses, and incident investigations. Oversee equipment performance and communicate maintenance needs

Requirements

  • Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree.
  • Valid Drivers License required

Nice To Haves

  • Mechanical or Chemical Engineering background.
  • PSM facility experience; familiarity with GE turbines/HRSGs
  • Ability to review specs/drawings; basic project management skills.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and independent work capability
