Tuning and Repair Technician
About The Position
Sugar Bowl Resort is seeking 1 seasonal full-time and 2 part-time Rental Repair Technicians to work in the Finish Line Tuning and Repair shop to repair ski and snowboard equipment. Must be willing and able to provide exemplary customer service in all situations at all times, to not only the public but also to all employees. Why Sugar Bowl? Sugar Bowl Resort has been proudly independent for over 80 years and is one of the oldest ski resorts in California. Situated atop beautiful Donner Summit, Sugar Bowl has a storied past with ties to Austrian ski culture, Hollywood and Walt Disney. This special community helped bring skiing to "sunny California" since December 1939. Since then, it continues to attract adventurous winter sports enthusiasts a like.
Requirements
- Prior experience with ski and snowboard tuning equipment and machinery
- Extensive knowledge of all types of equipment, old and new
- Must be able to pass certification course (training provided)
- Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Some computer skills required
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Must be over 18 years of age
Responsibilities
- Computerized cash register operation
- Ability to determine potential problems with gear
- Assisting guests with properly fitting gear
- Repairing all types of ski and snowboard equipment including boots, bindings, skis, snowboards, and helmets
- Daily transportation of gear and shop equipment throughout the resort
- Keeping workshop clean and organized with all equipment in its proper place
- Maintenance of all tools and equipment in workshop
- Familiarity with Sugar Bowl and ability to answer guest questions
- Snow removal (shovel) before, during and after storms
