About The Position

Canepa is looking for an experienced automotive technician to join our team! This individual must be quality-minded, hardworking, and dedicated to providing the highest level of service in the industry. We are seeking a person who is highly professional, who can work individually, as well as part of a multifunctional team. Job Duties include but are not limited to: Engine diagnostics and troubleshooting Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more Perform engine diagnostics and troubleshooting to ensure optimal engine performance Tune automotive engines for optimal performance About Canepa Canepa is an industry leader in the collector car world, including sales, restoration, and motorsports. We specialize in premium luxury and performance vehicles including, but not limited to: Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, McLaren, and Shelby. Our technical experts have a combined experience of more than 200 years in the automotive and mechanical engineering industries. Located in Scotts Valley, California, Canepa is central to the Silicon Valley and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, with a focus on performance tuning and diagnostics
  • Proficient in operating Dynapack and other chassis dynamometers for performance testing and tuning
  • Knowledgeable in electronic fuel injection system development, diagnosis, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with basic internal engine repair, rebuilds, and setup procedures.
  • Expertise in turbocharger, wastegate, and intercooler system development and tuning
  • Strong electrical experience, including working with automotive electrical systems and wiring
  • Basic computer and internet skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday), with willingness to work overtime when needed

Nice To Haves

  • Strong expertise in MoTeC and other engine management system tuning and calibration for high-performance and exotic vehicles
  • Experience working on Porsche vehicles, including performance upgrades and system tuning
