About The Position

The Tuition Billing Specialist manages all aspects of student tuition accounts, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and clear communication with families. This role supports the business office by maintaining precise financial records and delivering excellent customer service to students, parents, and internal departments. Ability to manage sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, along with three or more years of experience in accounting or similar field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with a special emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to operate accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and internal controls

Responsibilities

  • Maintain student account records in FACTS Management, including charges, credits, adjustments, and financial aid allocations.
  • Process tuition payments, refunds, and payment plan arrangements.
  • Monitor delinquent accounts and coordinate follow‑up communication regarding outstanding balances.
  • Respond to billing inquiries from families, students, and staff with clarity and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with admissions, financial aid, and accounting teams to ensure accurate data flow.
  • Reconcile tuition revenue and student account balances with the general ledger.
  • Assist school leadership team by providing documentation and account summaries.
  • Support the development and improvement of billing policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Responsible for administration of FACTS Pay-It forms
  • Overseeing electronic payment operations
  • Other duties as assigned
