About The Position

Our client Continental Trust Corporation Limited was founded in 1994 and operates on the principle that personal service is the cornerstone of every client relationship. Their trust services include the structuring, settling and administration of trusts and underlying assets. An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Trust Officer to join the firm. With a family focused culture and solid reputation for delivering excellence, the successful candidate will be joining a close knit group of professionals. He/ She shall report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the management of a varied client portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree along with at least five years of trust and/ or corporate administration, banking, investment or corporate law experience.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of the legislation as it relates to trust business in Bermuda combined with knowledge and experience with Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Finance policies and guidelines
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, problem solving and organisational
  • Exceptional work ethic and demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable as required to consistently exceed client expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and collaborate seamlessly as part of a team, showcasing strong organisational and time management skills while thriving in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience as a Trust Officer is advantageous as are TEP and/or other relevant professional designations. Candidates without must be willing to obtain necessary designations within an established timeframe.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting client families, their advisors and other professionals with estate and financial planning and coordinating the application of any specialised services required to ensure the effective administration of trusts and companies.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships across all parties including meeting and communicating with trust clients and all service providers.
  • Interpreting trust deeds and documents to ensure that trusts are administered and transactions executed in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Scrupulous record management including preparing meeting minutes, file management and document retention.
  • Execution of all associated trust administration tasks including the establishment of bank and investment accounts, client correspondence and responding to compliance requests.
