Requirements

  • JD from a law school
  • Must be admitted to practice in New Jersey
  • 5+ years of experience in estate planning and estate administration including drafting sophisticated estate planning documents.
  • Excellent research, writing and communications skills

Nice To Haves

  • LL.M. in Taxation or candidate for LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
  • Admission to practice in New York and/or Florida is a plus.
  • Experience in the following is helpful but not essential: preparation of gift and estate tax returns; federal and state tax issues as it relates to the taxation of trusts; corporate and partnership tax issues with respect to mergers and acquisitions.

Responsibilities

  • Relate to clients.
  • Implement matters with minimum supervision.
  • Research and prepare memoranda on complicated tax matters.
  • Ability to advocate tax positions orally and in writing.
  • Develop and implement estate planning techniques.
