Gulfeagle Supply is a family owned business with over 100 locations nationwide which acquired Kimal Lumber in 2018. Since the merger, Gulfeagle and Kimal Lumber have been working to bring contractors superior service. Gulfeagle is a full line distributor of residential and commercial roofing and building products while Kimal Lumber provides dimensional lumber, sheet goods, moldings, roof trusses, windows, and interior/exterior doors. As a company, we focus on servicing the professional contractor and builder while also providing a variety of products and services to the homeowner, building owner, architect and general contractor. Role Description: This position is responsible for all phases of truss manufacturing and delivery, and for overseeing an efficient and safe operation which can attain facility production goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), as well as two years leadership experience in the truss industry.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the associates.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to communicate, coordinate, motivate and supervise and direct a culturally diverse team
Good supervisory, motivational and leadership skills needed
Regularly required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and to talk or hear. Often required to sit, stand, climb or balance, and occasionally to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds.
Regularly required to see clearly with close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).

Responsibilities

Responsible for overall planning, maintaining, directing and developing strategies for achieving production targets which align with facility and company goals, manage daily production to insure maximum efficiency, productivity and safety
Evaluate and monitor expectations, performance of plant shop and delivery associates, hold personnel accountable to company policies and performance standards, hiring, training, reviews, disciplinary discussions, documentation of all formal associate interaction and behavior management
Control scheduling and overtime to meet budgetary labor goals for the location
Develop all facets of the production and delivery team, train to improve associate skill levels, coach to improve production abilities and output of plant, instill principals of consistency and accuracy in our production process
Maintain cleanliness and organization of location facility and inventory, as well as proper maintenance of all location equipment and machinery in coordination with corporate Operations Manager
Meet agreed upon production goals with regards to the operational performance of the location, as well as the delivery goals of the location, communicate goal levels and production and delivery levels relative to those goals
Help to monitor inventories and report on levels as needed by company leadership
Promote a safe work environment, lead by example, hold monthly safety meetings in coordination with the Safety Coordinator, insure adherence to safety policies, maintain the safest work environment possible
Must wear safety glasses and work boots or shoes at all time in the production plant
Any other tasks as assigned by management
