About The Position

This position is responsible to diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Must supply own tools for minimum maintenance
• Must be able to use basic electrical, pneumatic and hand tools
• Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet, bend, stretch, reach, work in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors
• Must have at least 6 months of continuous employment within the last 2 years
• Must have 1 year of industrial maintenance/mechanical experience
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods
• Must have a current valid State driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture
• Receive training as required
• Perform various positions as required/assigned
• Diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
• Comply with Department of Transportation rules and regulations
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
• Perform air brake, electrical and air conditioning work
• Read and understand assignments
• Communicate both orally and in writing
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
