About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Level 3 Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues. This position requires a commitment to safety, quality work, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree preferred.
• Automotive Service Excellence (A.S.E.) Certification.
• 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment vehicles.
• strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Perform physical tasks, including climbing, standing, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 80 lbs.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor and indoor settings.
• Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines and related systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
• Oversee and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding repair needs and progress.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations.
