About The Position

This is a full-time position responsible for monitoring daily traffic entering and leaving the Tyson Berry Street facility, answering the phone and transferring calls, constant communication with plant management, truck drivers, vendors, Berry Street customers, and Team Members as necessary. This position will be responsible for lot checks of trailers during their designated hours. This position is also responsible for monitoring what is being brought into and out of the facility and enforcing Tyson policy if needed. Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor. The Main Guard shack runs 4 shifts in order to have 24-hour coverage (ABCD schedule) and shift assignment will be determined upon job offer.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent attendance (less than 8 points for internal applicants), disciplinary, and safety record.
  • Must be able to work in both hot and cold temperatures, work both independently and under supervision, and have a positive work ethic.
  • 3 months of food industry production experience in the last 2 years listed on the application. (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is 3 months within 2 years).
  • There is 180 days (6 months) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.
  • Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
  • Failed Drug Screen - if you had a failed drug screen, you must wait 6 months before reapplying.
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 6 months preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate under stressful situations.
