About The Position

Ability to monitor sewage system and operate a diesel tank trucker while loading and unloading the system. Visually inspect the system daily, assist in maintaining pumps and plumbing associated with the septic system. The ability to perform skilled work in the maintenance and repair of automotive engines, machinery, and related equipment. The objective is to effectively diagnose engine problems promptly and coordinate repairs with the company's engineering staff. individual will be directly responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with technical manuals and company policies.

Requirements

• Possess a Class B CDL Tanker endorsement
• Must demonstrate analytical skills and aptitude for problem-solving
• Good manual dexterity, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Valid US driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a security background check and DOT drug test.
• Requires valid, unexpired USCG-approved First Aid/CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience driving a tanker truck is preferred.
• 2-years direct experience with automotive engines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• During Summer operations, driver will monitor the sewage system and tanks, will perform daily runs to waste facility and monitor levels in the tank room.
• Performs routine and light duty repair work on gasoline engines, i.e. brakes, belts, starter, alternator etc.
• Operates hand and power tools associated with automotive engine and equipment repair.
• Recommends the purchasing of parts and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining inventory parts for engines and auxiliary systems on each vehicle (i.e., pumps, starters, belts, impellers, filters, gaskets, etc.).
• Assist with the maintenance of company vehicles, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Maintain an accurate log of all work completed on work orders and by posting in Slack.
• Work with Port Engineer to help keep the facility neat and well organized, along with assisting in projects and necessary Bima maintenance.
• Assisting engineering team with daily errands and tasks as needed.
• Special projects may be assigned as required by the business.
