About The Position

C & B Operations with 36 John Deere dealerships across 6 states has an opening for a CDL Truck Driver based out of South Dakota, Minnesota, or Iowa. This position with operate a truck and trailer to transport equipment between our John Deere dealership locations, as well as to customers, and manufacturers. Supports equipment delivery, ensures proper documentation, and may assist customers with basic operation. Location:  This position travels throughout the 6 states (Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho).  Ideally, this position is based out of South Dakota, Minnesota, or Iowa locations. Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience pulling a gooseneck, tilt, or utility trailer; experience as a semi-truck operator preferred
  • Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment preferred
  • Experience working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing in English
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required

Nice To Haves

  • experience as a semi-truck operator preferred

Responsibilities

  • Transports equipment to/from customers and/or between dealer facilities; may also pick-up new equipment from a John Deere factory
  • Supports the sales department with equipment delivery as needed
  • Maintains activity records and obtains necessary signatures and receipts
  • Maintains all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA and company policy
  • Accountable for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties
  • Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Participates in monthly location safety meetings
