Employee’s level and pay will be dependent on their level of experience, knowledge, and capabilities. The Truck Driver is responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). Responsible for ensuring that deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner and materials are correct and free of damage. The role involves inspecting company vehicles for defects, keeping them clean, serviced, and maintained, and alerting supervisors of needed repairs. Drivers must follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations. They are responsible for loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring material correctness and freedom from damage before departure, and may assist in preparing orders for delivery. The position requires thorough completion of all appropriate documentation at the time of delivery, including obtaining customer signatures on delivery receipts, packing lists, and branch/warehouse manifests. Drivers will also pick up material returns from customers, inspecting their condition and verifying quantities and catalog numbers, and pick up materials from company suppliers. Senior Truck Drivers will participate in the training of entry-level Truck Drivers and provide mentorship and coaching. The role may also require supporting other Warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and performing other duties as assigned.
