About The Position

Position Description – Truck Driver Company: Quality Steel Corporation Reports to: Department Supervisor/Manager Key Responsibilities : Ensure Safety First, Safety Always and meet or exceed Quality expectations. Inspect equipment prior to start of shift to ensure road readiness. Perform Quality Control. Visually inspect and secure freight prior to departure from job site. Report any mechanical, quality issues to Supervisor and ensure correction of all issues before departure from job site. Safety transport product from job site to delivery site. Adhere to traffic safety laws while operating vehicle. Assist in unloading product upon arrival to delivery sites, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance. Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with regulations. Maintain cleanliness of equipment. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating medium- to heavy-duty commercial trucks, with no legal or safety incidents on record.
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Ability to adapt in various traffic and weather conditions.
  • Ability to record data accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Detail-orientated/attentive to detail to ensure safety and quality.
  • Ability to safely lift/move up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to build and maintenance strong relationship through excellent customer service.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Class-A Commercial Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • HAZMAT Certification, preferred
