Truck Driver: This position is for our routine maintenance crew and truck driver II is just the classification per the MSA for pay scale. Must have Class D driver license. Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor, including, but not limited to lifting 25+ lbs., bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in the heat. Shovel bituminous concrete (asphalt) or other material into the construction area. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. Material handling and storage. Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the direct supervisor. Convoys tools, equipment and parts to the work area. Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions. Saw cut, demo and remove concrete via jack hammering or hand tools. Ability to use tools properly and safely. Safely operate Earth Moving equipment. Act as a spotter for moving equipment to prevent incidents and accidents. Assists in lifting, positioning or fastening objects. May disassemble defective equipment, replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment. Working knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in an industrial setting. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency. Other duties as assigned.
