About The Position
Position Summary: Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Truck Driver is responsible for picking up and delivering material to and from customers in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 yr driving experience and clean driving record
- Current Class A Drivers license
- Repair Power equipment
- Perform difficult, complex and detailed work with accuracy and speed under the pressure of deadlines
- Exercise proper decision making judgment
- Maintain knowledge of changing technology
- Exhibit flexibility with regard to job duties
Nice To Haves
- Certification in diesel repair or equivalent work experience
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver products to and from customers as efficiently as possible
- Complete pre-trip inspections process
- Properly drop trailers in the dock
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Immediately report any trip delays or mechanical issues to supervisor
- Check load weight and against B.O.L
- Check load weight
- Obey all traffic laws
- Sweep trailer at end of day
- Professionally represent Chem-Plate while at customer locations
