As a Truck Driver, you’ll play an important role in delivering our products safely and on time while providing excellent service to our customers. You’ll operate company equipment, follow DOT regulations, and maintain safe work practices. This position reports to the Shipping Manager or Plant Manager, depending on location. What You’ll Do Delivery & Customer Service Safely deliver and unload Prinsco products and/or equipment while following DOT regulations and company safety guidelines Provide friendly, professional service at customer locations Confirm product accuracy against the Bill of Lading and check for visible damage before delivery Ensure unloading conditions are safe and communicate with dispatch if concerns arise Document deliveries and notify dispatch of any discrepancies Represent Prinsco with professionalism, promoting our mission and core values Safety & Compliance Follow DOT Hours of Service regulations and maintain accurate logbooks Complete daily pre-trip inspections of tractor and trailer and report any issues Conduct post-delivery inspections and document any defects Report accidents, near misses, or moving violations immediately Maintain clean trailers by sweeping debris daily Operational Support Return empty trailers promptly for reload and future deliveries Pick up cores when available Communicate effectively with dispatch to ensure efficient operations Growth & Teamwork Participate in cross-training and continuous learning opportunities Support Prinsco’s Continuous Improvement culture Assist with additional duties as needed to support the team What Makes You a Great Fit Safety-focused mindset Strong customer service skills Reliable and self-motivated Team-oriented with a willingness to learn Professional and courteous demeanor QualificationsWhat You Bring High school diploma or GED, along with at least 1 year of interstate driving experience Valid CDL with a clean driving record and current medical card (interstate & intrastate) Ability to pass the Prinsco road test Strong understanding of DOT and state transportation regulations Ability to read maps, safety guidelines, and operating procedures, and apply them in real-world situations Solid communication skills—both written and verbal—with customers and team members Basic math skills for everyday tasks (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, 50 lbs occasionally, and up to 75 lbs as needed Active role requiring frequent standing, walking, climbing, and movement throughout the day Comfortable working with hands and equipment for extended periods Ability to work in a production environment that may not be temperature-controlled and includes outdoor conditions Comfortable working in a loud environment Visual ability to safely operate equipment, including depth perception and peripheral vision What Sets You Apart A strong commitment to safety—for yourself and those around you Reliability and a strong work ethic—you show up and get the job done right A positive, team-first attitude and the ability to build strong working relationships Pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear required PPE Our Expectations At Prinsco, we live our values every day.
