About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Missouri Valley, IA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career. The position offers $1700 - $2000 or more per week, with solo miles paying $0.63 per mile for 1700 - 2200 miles per week. There's also pay for no-touch stops ($28.00 per stop, average 5 per week) and touch stops ($67.00 per stop, average 5 per week), plus a per diem of $65.00 per night for 3-4 nights per week. A $2000 sign-on bonus is offered, paid half at 30 days and half at 90 days. Paid training is provided. The schedule is Monday Morning – Friday with a 7:00 AM dispatch. Drivers deliver SOLO within a 700-mile radius of Omaha NE on a regional route using Sleeper Tractors and 53' Stepdeck Flatbed trailers. Freight involves touch freight, specifically strapping & assembly of Utility Trailers. Ryder trains drivers on all necessary equipment. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
6 months experience required for 53' Stepdeck Flatbed trailer

Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
Maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
Performs other duties as assigned
