About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Front Royal, VA. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career. Drivers can expect to earn $1505 or more per week, with solo miles paying $0.65 per mile (approximately 2200 miles per week) and solo stops paying $25.00 per stop (approximately 6 stops per week). The schedule is Sunday - Friday with a start time between 9:00 PM - 3:00 AM, including 3-4 layovers per week. The role involves regional deliveries to VA, PA, MD, OH, CT, NJ, ME, DE, NC, & NY (excluding NYC). Drivers will operate sleeper tractors equipped with refrigerators and inverters, pulling 53’ dry van and reefer trailers, handling no-touch food goods. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Ryder also supports drivers interested in becoming Company Drivers by purchasing their trucks. Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
Pass a Ryder Drug Test
Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
Pass a DOT physical
Pass a Ryder road test
Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Maintaining accurate records and logs
Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
