About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in North Little Rock, AR, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a stable driving career. Drivers on this account can earn $1230 or more weekly, with a guaranteed weekly pay of $1230. Compensation includes solo miles pay at $0.445 per mile (with approximately 3000 miles per week), solo stops pay at $9.00 per stop (with 5-15 stops per week), and drop and hook pay at $6.00 per drop/hook. Additional bonuses include a Safety Bonus up to $250 per quarter and a Shutdown Bonus of $2000 in the first year. The schedule is Monday - Friday, with Saturdays as needed, and start times are open to AM or PM due to a bid system. The route is local, home daily, delivering SOLO to AR, with no-touch auto parts freight using a Day Cab tractor and a 53’ Dry Van trailer. Strong backing skills are required. The company provides paid scale bypass, and trucks are 36 months or newer, including 24/7 Roadside Maintenance. Company drivers fuel up at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide. Ryder also offers support for those considering becoming a Company Driver, including purchasing their truck. Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
  • Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performs other duties as assigned
