About The Position
Key Responsibilities Safe Operation: Drive, maneuver, and operate trucks over long distances or local routes. Inspections: Perform comprehensive pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (trailer, tires, lights, brakes) to ensure safe operating conditions. Cargo Management: Supervise, assist with, and verify the loading/unloading of cargo to prevent damage. Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date logbooks (hours of service) and documentation in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations. Communication: Maintain regular contact with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or potential on-site hazards. Maintenance: Report any vehicle defects, mechanical issues, or accidents immediately to management.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B).
- 5+ years of proven experience as a truck driver.
- Clean driving record with no recent moving violations or accidents.
- In-depth knowledge of road, safety, and driving laws.
- Strong communication, time-management, and navigation skills.
- Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
