Trinity Extended Day Teacher
About The Position
Trinity Episcopal School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Extended Day (TED) Teacher for the 2025-26 academic year. This is a 10-month, part-time position reporting directly to the Director of Auxiliary Services. TED Teachers play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for students during after-school hours. Responsibilities include supporting the daily operations of the Extended Day program, implementing age-appropriate activities, and working collaboratively with team members to enrich the overall school experience for our students. Position Details: Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:30–6:00 p.m. Additional Hours: Opportunities for extra hours during in-service days and early dismissal/partial school days Ideal candidates will be child-centered, team-oriented, and committed to fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for all students. The TED Teacher supports the work of the School by promoting the mission, values, and policies of Trinity Episcopal School.
Requirements
- Familiarity with and a commitment to the mission of independent schools and Trinity Episcopal School, and a commitment to our three primary values of scholarship, diversity, and spirituality is a must
- A love for students and a willingness to go above and beyond in the best interests of students
- Integrity, sound judgment, self-confidence, maturity and a sense of perspective
- A high level of energy and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects
- Ability to model, promote, and provide opportunities for students to live into the Trinity Honor Code
- Demonstrated sensitivity to students, faculty, and staff of varying racial, ethnic, religious, gender, cultural, disability, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Ability to work with students in grades K-8th grade and to develop and maintain excellent working relationships across campus.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on education or related field is preferred, but not required
- Successful experience in working with children, preferably in a constructivist or progressive education environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture connections with Extended Day students
- Supervise students in grades K-8 during recess
- Oversee homework
- Organize activities relative to specific age groups
- Communicate concerns to parents and/or Director of Auxiliary Services
