The Trimmer II uses hand tools or hand-held power tools to cut and trim a variety of manufactured composite parts. This level is for an experienced individual, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Has acquired skills from training and work experience, has limited autonomy, and works under moderate supervision.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand detailed instructions.
- Excellent eye and hand coordination.
- Skilled in the use of pneumatic router and drills motors.
- Ability to utilize measuring equipment, including scales and calipers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
Nice To Haves
- Aerospace Experience
- 2-3 years' experience with handheld power tools
- Bonding and sealant experience.
- Composite training preferred.
- Two years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Composite manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Trim, deburr and seal fabricated components using pneumatic power tools.
- Sign off on all work performed, reporting all production discrepancies and schedule concerns to supervisor.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment or supplies; promoting safety in the workplace.
