About The Position

Upholstery Trimmer makes, repairs, or replaces outside work.  Trimmers fit, install, and secure material (fabric) on wooden frames using hand tools, power tools. Aligning parts / fabric to ensure proper assembly and quality levels.         Applying fabric/poly to furniture frames by means of hand tools. Fixing own repairs while ensuring quality, efficiency, and production levels Using a computer/scan gun to scan work for production tracking. Maintaining clean/neat workstation Maintaining tools in working condition All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of furniture trimming experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Ability to deliver uncompromising quality and detailed craftsmanship.
• Must be flexible to work overtime when required.
• Able to stand for 10 hours.
• Able to use hand tools/air tools/staple gun for 10 hours.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• LEAN Manufacturing experience a plus
