About The Position

The Trim Associate is responsible for accurately and efficiently trimming harvested cannabis plants with a trimming machine to prepare them for sale and consumption. This role is essential in maintaining the quality, appearance, and consistency of the final product. The Trim Associate must meet the minimum weight output requirements per shift while following company standards and complying with all regulatory requirements. A high level of productivity, consistency, and attention to detail is critical for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy and trimming techniques (or willingness to learn).

  • Ability to follow strict hygiene and sanitary protocols.
  • Basic understanding of AZDHS rules and regulations (or willingness to learn).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and meet productivity goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent time management and ability to complete daily tasks within set deadlines.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to report any issues or discrepancies.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a cannabis cultivation or production facility is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in trimming, horticulture, or plant care is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AZDHS cannabis regulations and compliance standards (or a willingness to learn).
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet production standards in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the quality, appearance, and integrity of cannabis flowers throughout the trimming process.
  • Inspect cannabis for quality assurance, checking for contaminants, and report any issues to the Trim Supervisor.
  • Ensure all finished product meets quality and compliance specifications.
  • Assist with inventory, maintain sanitary practices, follow waste protocols, and clean tools, machines, and work areas as required.
  • Uphold and enforce all AZ Department of Health Services ("AZDHS") rules, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Complete daily tasks checklists with efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
  • Safely and compliantly transport cannabis products within the facility as needed.
  • Perform repetitive tasks with precision, consistency, and strong attention to detail.
  • Operate trimming machines in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and company SOPs.
  • Perform routine cleaning, sanitizing, and basic maintenance on trimming machines.
  • Perform touch-up trimming and apply bud sorting as needed to meet quality requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support department goals and business operations.
