Job Description: POSITION PURPOSE Responsible for the construction and assembly of premade trim kits for windows and doors. Duties may also require the construction and assembly of custom door assemblies.

Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Two years of finishing carpentry or equivalent preferred
  • Three years of general carpentry experience preferred
  • Basic construction techniques; good knowledge of basic construction and building materials; strong mathematical skills and ability to convert fraction and decimals from schematics.
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving and decision-making skills; follow systematic approach in situational analysis and definition; arrive at acceptable solutions
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, strong listening and empathy and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate customized woodworks that serve as accessories to our window and door units by using various powered equipment such as table and miter saws, planers, sanders, jointers, routers, and nail guns.
  • Read and interpret the plan/sketch/materials list to construct window trim kits and/or door assemblies.
  • Assures pre-arrival planning for raw materials needed for construction and assembly of window and door kit resources are completed.
  • May engage in the staining, painting, and varnishing of trim kit and door assemblies.
  • Assured installation procedures and practices are followed at the job site.
  • Meets or exceeds customer satisfaction by complying with RbA's installation and construction procedures.
  • Ensure proper safety techniques are utilized.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
